call failed with airtel network

Even i faced the same issue, But i have never changed the network still i faced this issue,Mean while i searched in the internet got this post ..!! Thank you very much every body here.. simple *31# is the solution

I had the same exact problem ,then I read in one of these discussions that the issue is with the caller id. though we cannot turn it ON or Off but somehow even checking the status of the caller ID did the trick and now I am able to make outgoing calls as well. My phone is iphone 4 with airtel( recently ported from vodafone).

Thanks ! The solution worked . I spent hours trying to resolve the problem and was one step away from doing a clean restore (not from backup) before this worked. Hate it how apple support asks users to just do a clean re-image of the phone with no way to back up messages and albums created inside photos etc.

Man ...U r awesome. I was facing this issue from a week but after reading your solution my problem resolved... (Problem I was facing-

I am able to receive calls and use data over Airtel 3G. I am even able to receive calls. But I am not able to make any calls. Every time I try to call I get Call failed.

I visited Airtel office, they put sim in other phone and outgoing calls was working fine. But its not working in my iPhone.)

If you are facing issue where it says Call Failed every time you try to dial someone, just dial *31# do restrict called id in order to rectify the issue!

I am using iPhone 6 with Airtel and it worked for me.
