Where is the slideshow feature in the Photos app? (iOS7)
Since upgrading to iOS7, I haven't been able to figure out how to run a simple slideshow of one of my Photos albums. Has this been removed/moved?
iPhone 4, iOS 7.0.2

Thanks, I figured it out. Actually you don't de-select the first photo. You only select the first photo and that will play the entire album as a slide show.
I don't understand why Apple changed the why the slideshow worked in ios 2 which was baiscally Keynote like with a pause and play button and the ability to start from any photo you want and to advance photos at your leisure with a flick of the screen. Yes, ios 2!
To use slide show, tap a photo, tap the arrow pointing out from the box middle to the top (bottom left icon) , select photos for slideshow then tap the Slideshow button.
Thanks, was able to get it to work. Sadly, it's very klunky. What if you wanted a slideshow of 50 or 100 photos? Would you really have to manually select each one? Would like to see there at least be a Select All option ...
You can slideshow Album the same way as Moments
In Photos app > tap Albums (bottom right), tap one of the photo album, tap photo in Album, tab share (bottom left, the box with arrow pointing up) tap selected photo to de-select, tap SlideShow.
Ckuan,
Unfortunately that doesn't seem to work. Once you deselect a photo there is no slideshow option displayed. all you can do is select or cancel.
EDIT (from another thread): if you just click the 1st photo then click slideshow, the entire album will run. As for your question about pausing, if I touch the screen of the photo I want to pause, the slideshow will stop until I touch the screen again and then the option for slideshow comes up again, and once you click the slideshow option, the slideshow resumes.
What a Pain. Back in iOS 2 (yes, 2) you could stop and start photos from anywhere in an album and manually make them move forward with a flick of the screen if you were showing them on a TV. It worked brilliantly with a pause and play button. WHY did Apple get rid of this? It was like Keynote was built into the photos app.
Yeah. I still use a first gen ipod touch to display pictures at work since they only have the old style TVs. Plus it's so easy to show whatever from the 1,000 odd pictures I have for work. I was hoping ios 7 had gone back to the ios 2 format of showing pictures or also the way the Mirroring does it where you just flick through pictures at your leisure. But unfortunately with Mirroring, my students (when I've got access to a HD TV) get to see all the photos on screen at the beginning and it can ruin quizzes. Keynote is what I'm going to have to move all my pictures to. It will work great, but it's just a pain. Indeed, the times they are a changin'.
Do you have IOS 7?
You have to select more than one to have a slide show OR de-select the only one selected to have slide show for ALL the photos.
Maybe you should tell Apple about it:
Select the photo, then "Next", upper right, then Slideshow.
If you want to slidehow the whole Moments, make sure no photos are selected then tap SlideShow.
Thanks, but I was looking to slideshow an album. Slideshow in this case seems to require one or more photos to be selected.
IOS 2?
