I accidentally deleted java HELP

I have a macbook pro OS X version 10.6.8 and I accidentally deleted Java and now my Itunes wont sync to my phone. How do i re-download java?

Java 6 for 10.6.8 is maintained by Apple and rather difficult to accidentally delete.


I doubt Apple would use Java, made by Oracle (formerly Sun Microsystems) a third party plug-in, for synching between iTunes and your phone.


Your problem is likely something else entirely, but if you feel it is Java that's responsible or wish to run through a list of possible fixes to tune up your machine and find out what actually is your issue, I suggest you run through this list here, Java 6 will be replaced by Step #8.
