Oct 21, 2013 2:06 PM in response to Furiatorby aicastro,I've restored two times already and nothing works. The phone doesn't have iMessage, Facetime and push notifications. I also cannot turn off "Find my Phone". The phone was in recovery mode prior to the restoring both times.
I'm out of ideas. Can someone help?
Thanks

Oct 25, 2013 9:41 PM in response to Furiatorby spaghetti squash,I really hate this new O/S.. Apple dropped the ball here and has disappointing us all. Used to be so easy, now I can't even delete my icloud account from my phone, restore iPhone or anything... keep getting the same messages commented on above.
What I liked about my iPhone was how simple and straight forward everything was. Not anymore.

Oct 25, 2013 10:23 PM in response to Furiatorby Ed_16,When I went to turn off Find My iPhone I got the same error screen.
I then noticed that at the very top of Settings > iCloud was a prompt to accept the new user agreement.
Once I accepted the new user agreement I was able to turn off Find My iPhone.
Hopefully this might help some of you out.

Oct 25, 2013 11:11 PM in response to Ed_16by spaghetti squash,I've tried to accept the terms and conditions but I get an error message "unable to connect to server". Also, every few minutes my iPhone pops up with a message saying that I have to agree to the new terms and when I try to agree I get the error message "unable to connect..."
I would like to turn off iCloud all together but when I try to delete the account I get another error message "There was a problem deregistering the iPhone from iCloud..."
I've also tried resetting and restoring the phone. Nothing is working and I'm just going around in circles trying to get this to work... so frustrating and nothing like previous O/S upgrades.

Oct 25, 2013 11:15 PM in response to spaghetti squashby Ed_16,Hmm... sorry, not sure. It worked right away once I clicked "Accept".
Hopefully someone else might know more about it being "unable to connect"

Oct 26, 2013 1:42 PM in response to Furiatorby alberta.daisy,I followed the recovery mode advice as I could not get the phone to restore without signing out of iCloud. This problem appeared when I noticed my iMessage and Facetime were no longer working.
I thought I would restore my iPhone and treat it like it was new - like every other time I have an issue.
You do have to hold the off button and home button until the iTunes and "cord" appear on your phone. Then you should be good to go.
I am currently restoring so hopefully this works out...otherwise my love of my iPhone may turn to hate and drive me to the competition...

Oct 27, 2013 8:48 AM in response to spaghetti squashby alberta.daisy,It worked like a charm. I set it up like a new phone which was a bit of a pain but it is working much better.

Oct 28, 2013 8:11 PM in response to alberta.daisyby spaghetti squash,I found something that worked for me. I logged my device into iTunes, went to the App store on my device and downloaded SugarSync. I then fully turned off my device while it was still attached to the USB and itunes and then turned it back on. Immediatly my device asked for my iCloud password which I put in and then went to iCloud on my device and it was working as normal. I then deleted the iCloud account from my iPhone and now everything is working excellent.
FYI... The first time I did this I did not delete the iCloud account and when my device registered with iCloud it deleted all my contacts and calendars. I had to restore from my backup but when I did my device had the same iCloud issue so I tried it again and deleted the iCloud account from my device immediatly and my calendar and contacts remained intact.
I backed up right away so that if I ever have to to another restore I can use the back up that does not have an iCloud account registered to the phone.
