How do I turn off the "cellular data is turned off for "podcasts"" message?

Go to settings >> podcasts and turn on use cellular data.

You are not alone in this very annoying and stupid problem. It makes it worse when you get a equally stupid response like the one from "anilsudhakaran". This is one of those issues that no matter how many times we ask the question and show that something needs to be fixed but get nothing but silence from apple.

This particular problem is acutally become a driving hazard because you want to be able to listen to a podcast or audio book in the car but keep having to respond with more taps to this ridiculuous popup message before you can do anyhting else with the phone.

I think I have found something to stop this annoying message. The only apps I use when not connected to the Internet are calender/notes/podcasts. I went settings/cellular then switched cellular data on. I then switched cellular on specifically for calender/notes/podcasts. Then I switched off just the main cellular data button at the top of the screen without turning off cellular for those individual apps. Just switching of the main cellular button means no cellular is activated for any of the apps even if it shows on for them individually. Then I go back into each of these apps and don't get this pop up anymore.

I, too, am using my limited data plan sparingly. I am tired of most of my apps showing me the same message:

"Cellular Data is Turned Off for "Application"

You can turn on cellular data for this app in Settings."

Thanks iOS7... I did that for a reason. Stop reminding me everytime I open an app I selected NOT to allow Cellular Data.

Apple... Please create an option for "Don't Remind Me Again" or something... Or just remove the stupid notification all together. Thank you.

Thanks too steve210209, but that doesn't work either, and as xpertsnowcarver agrees with me it's just a ridculous problem for a function that never should have been created in the first place.

It's like turning a light on when you enter a room and the light bulb tells you every 2 minutes that's it's ON!

Are there settings in each app?

I also find this repeating warning incredibly annoying. I KNOW that cellular data is turned off for Podcasts, and I have done that for a good reason. Apple, please give us an option to make this annoying message go away!!!

EXACTLY! I went into the Cellular Data DELIBERATELY to turn OFF access. Why is this reminding me every time I go back into the app? Especially WHEN I AM IN A WIFI ZONE!

I hope everyone annoyed by the same warning messages takes a short moment to fill it out and paste the link to this thread in there.

I'm sure they're doing this for advertisers. Why else would a stand alone app need a cellular connection? Then they make it annoying so your best option is to conform.

This is annoying. I have many apps causing this issue. Even games, which don't need any cellular data, and which have no settings specific to the game are asking me to turn on cellular data for them! I turned off cellular data for a reason! Apple, please fix this!

OK is Apple gone? OK, I read somewhere a fix specific for Podcasts, but not for other apps. I am not certain this works, but I am trying it.

* Settings -> Cellular -> Cellular Data ON

* Settings -> Cellular -> Podcasts ON

* Settings -> PODCASTS -> Use Cellular data OFF

This only fixes Podcasts I think. It will not work for the other Apps causing this problem because they do not have specific settings in the Settings app.
