Q: I forgot my Administrator password

I have forgotten my administrator password (I know, my bad). I have followed Apple's instructions of inserting the Snow Leopard disc and seeking to restart my computer. After the start-up tone I have tried holding option and choosing the disc or holding the C key and neither works. When I hold C or choose the disc itsimply freezes on the white start up screen with the grey Apple logo. I have to manually power down the computer at that point. Any thoughts on what is going wrong here? thanks.

Use the DVD that originally came w/the comp.  Also, check out KB Article:  http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2000 Mac doesn't start up from install disc

If none of the above works, you will have no alternative but to take your comp to your local AS or an AASP.
