Where does one start with this?

Are you selecting the music to sync in the Music Tab of iTunes? Are you signed into the same ID in iTunes on your computer as you are on the iPad? Do you use iTunes Match? If you use Match, you have to turn it off on the iPad in order to sync with iTunes. Does anything happen at all when you try to sync .....

Please provide some information...the more you provide, the easier it will be trying to help.

Thanks, but I checked - iTunes Match is turned off in my iPad. In fact I am not subscribed to iTunes Match.

After docking iPad to my PC, I clicked the iPad icon in the side bar of iTunes. Then I tried to drag and drop music from my iTunes library into the iPad. But it doesn't go!

I am not syncing iPad with iTunes on my PC because an alert is appearing to erase all the earlier stuff which I had transferred to my iPad from a different computer. This is eventhough the 'selected playlists....' is checked.

I am signed into both Ipad and iTunes using the same ID.
