Storing Itunes Library on Windows Server 2008. Help!!

Hello, at our office we have a file server (Windows Server 2008 R2) with 4 TB's of space. The boss has an Ultrabook running Windows 7 and a 256GB SSD. He will have no room once we copy all of his Itunes Library. He doesn't want to use an external USB drive to store his Itunes Library and wants us to utilize the Windows server. He downloads Season Passes of TV shows and lots of music. Can we rebuild his library and store it on a network drive? And when he syncs to his Ipod classic or ipad, will the sync go to the devices without storing on his new Ultrabook? Im so confused and wouldn't know how to tackle this problem.
