Backups and networking?

Hello,

So heres my situation, its a 2 parter:

1. I have an older mac pro (intel based) that is running chameleon (to bypass apple software restrictions to allow me to run OSX 10.8). I need a convenient way of backing it up and from my understanding, time machine will not work because time machine only deals with files and programs contained within the OS (it clones the "Macintosh HD" partition?), thus it would wipe out chameleon (which is on a separate disk partition for the record) when time machine erased the HD to do a restore?

2. I need a convenient way of keeping all my files (DOC's, MP3's, WAV's, PTX's, CPR's) organized across my three computer system (2 macbook pro's and 1 mac pro); I know iCloud has some kind of "Documents & Data" function, but I haven't a clue how to use it.

Thanks, PM
