Epson CX5500 Scanner Help

I have an Epson Stylus CX5500 and have a fresh install of Mac OS X 10.6.8.

Printing is fine, but when I want to scan I get the error message "An error occured during scanning".

The drivers were default from Apple (ie. all I did was plug the scanner in and the drivers were ready installed).

Please help, I really want to be able to use my scanner!

Try scanning using the Image Capture app located in your Applications folder.
