i updated my iphoto library version with a newer version of iphoto. Can I reverse this?

I accessed my iphoto library which resides on my iMac from my Macbook, and here I had a newer version of iPhoto. This has changed the version of the iPhoto library unfortunately. Now I can't access my library anymore from my iMac. Is there any way to reverse a version update to the iPhoto library?

Two options: Update the iPhoto on the iMac

or

Use iPhoto Library Managerto revert.

Or

3 -- restore you backup from before you agreeded to this upgrade after being warned that agreeing would render your iPhoto library unusable by the older version
