I´ve got a problem with connecting my old cinema display to the pc my new work gave me.
I´m using a adaptor from to DVI to VGA into the PC and I just get a black screen and the little lightbulb on the display is on.
Anyone got a solution for this problem ?

If it's an Apple DVI display and the computer has only VGA, you will need a VGA to DVI converter. A simple adapter won't work.

Just saw the prices for a converter, quite expensive. Theres is a HDMI port in the PC aswell. Is it possible to use a adaptor here instead of a converter?

If the computer has HDMI you can use a simple adapter for a DVI display (up to 1920 x 1200 resolution).
