How long should an iPad battery last?

The usefull life of an iPad battery is about 1000 full discharge/charge cycles, by Apple's standards (i.e. at 1000 cycles, if not abused, it should retain about 80% of its original capacity). But, a Lithium cell begins to loose capacity from the minute it is assembled at the factory. It will continue to loose capacity over time, whether used or not. So, if your iPad is a couple of years old and has had a lot of use (that is many discharge/charge cycles) then it will inherently last less and less on a charge as time goes by. Also, if it has sat unused for very long periods (several or many months) it will have degraded much faster than if used regularly.

As others have said, it also depends on your settings, and just what apps and things you normally run on it.

Battery life will depend alot on how it's used. Having the brightness way up along with playing processor-intensive 3D games will have a pretty big impact on how long the battery will last on a full charge. Battery age & condition will also play a big part. There's really no definitive answer to your question since there are many variables involved.

That depends entirely on what you do with your iPad.

If, for instance, the iPad's screen brightness is full power all the time, then its battery will be depleted after a short time.

Your iPad 2 came out in 2011, therefore don't expect your iPad's battery to be as youthful as it was at the beginning.

Its depend what are you doin example if using vidoes like films,music they do burn quickly,if only doin simple tasks like open emails,search on internets ect this should easily last 8 hours
