Music playing over bluetooth when not wanted?

I have a bluetooth earpiece paired with both my iPhone 5 and a work phone (some first generation flip phone...lol). The pairing works great, but almost every time I end a conversation on the work phone (either by my pressing the button to end or the other party hanging up), I suddenly start hearing music on my earpiece that is coming from my iTunes. What is weird is that I was not listening to music before the call, and it just seems to pick a song at random to play. I have even closed the music app after double clicking, yet it still starts playing music.

Any idea why this is happening or how to stop it?

If music is always playing in the background, maybe that is one reason my battery won't last more than about half a day since the upgrade.....
