My Itouch 3 screen is unresponsive starting this morning. It also has the date as Thursday January 1. How can I power it down or do a reset? I can not sync with Itunes since it is saying I have to enter the password.
iPod touch
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
It has a full charge, but when I try to slide to unlock it does nothing. The odd thing in my opinion is the date change. Weird. I went to Itunes to try a factory reset and it won't let me since it has a password and I can't enter the password because of the screen. Frustrating.
hold the power and home button at the same time for about 10 seconds
