Q: in iTunes/song list/ what does the (!) to the left of the Checkbox mean on the Song line
I am trying to copy music albums from a portable hard drive into iTunes Music to transfer onto an ipod nano gen7.
I got a lot of errors (100+). in iTunes, under Songs, some titles had an exclamation point inside a circle, some did not. What does this symbol mean?

The exclamation mark next to iTunes media in your library means that either the media is missing from the computer or iTunes is not directed to where the media is located. Here is an article that will help you locate the missing media.

If the media that is missing has been purchased from the iTunes Store, you can delete the problematic media and download it again free by following the steps below.
