iTunes will not open on my iPhone after recent update, but the App Store opens fine. How can I resolve this?

this will sound odd... but make sure your time zone is set correctly.... SETTING, GENERAL, DATE & TIME and make sure SET AUTOMATICALLY is turned ON... i had a similar problem and this fixed it.... good luck
