Q: I'm trying to activate my iPhone 5

I have no wifi in the office that I can use and when trying to activate it using cellular I get a message saying "The SIM card you currently have installed in this iPhone is from a carrier that is not supported under the activation policy that is currently assigned by the actiation server. This is not a hardware issue with the phone. Please insert another SIM card from another supported carrier or request that this iPhone be unlocked by your carrier. Please contact Apple for more information."

Your iPhone has been jailbroken or modified to work with

other than the original wireless provider. The iPhone has

become relocked to that provider and only that original provider

can now unlock the iPhone. Contact them to see if they offer

    unlocking and if you qualify.

where did you buy the phone?  sounds like its locked to a different carrier.  if thats true then it has to either be activated or unlocked by that carrier

    Peace, Clyde
