How to unassign a Midi CC that is not assigned to a Controller?

Hello!

So, this is my situation.

I'm using Mainstage with two USB midi controllers, one is a keyboard and the other one is a footswitch board. In mainstage I have a patch with a Rhodes (EVP88) in it and it responds perfectly to the keyboard. The thing is, when i press the footswitches they are assigned to random parameters in the rhodes, like for example the gain, the chorus rate, etc. On my layout i have just the keyboard so its not something that i did, it happens by default. How can i fix this? One idea i came up with is to set up the footswitch board to a different MIDI channel (2), but then i cant restrict Mainstage to receive just from one channel. Any ideas?

thanks a lot!!!
