160gb iPod Classic 7th Gen not on device list on Mac.

I recently got a 160gb iPod Classic 7th Generation used and it doesn't show up on my device list in my Finder folder or on iTunes. I'm not really sure what to do. I tried going into Disk Mode, but nothing really happened and it still wasn't recognized. Anything helps at this point.

I'm also running Mac OSX 10.8.5 and my iTunes just got updated to 11.1.1 if that helps at all.
