Fonctions like skimmer and snapping not working...

Hi,

I have some issues on Final Cut Pro v. 10.0.9 on my MacbookPro (15", mid-2009).

Shortcuts S for Skimmer and N for Snapping doesn't respond anymore. It just stays activated and I can not deactivate them.

Same problem occurs when clicking the logos above the timeline or clicking the command View>Skimming or Snapping.

Here is what I did:

- trashed pref with pref manager,

- reinstalled Final Cut Pro,

- reinstalled the system (10.8.5).

It didn't changed anything.

Do you have any ideas?

Same here. It's some kind of issue with user account - works in another account. No amount of permission tinkering or reinstalling the OS helps.

Installed Mavericks and clean fcpx 10.1, still have the issue on my main user but clean on 2ndry user

Any solution found yet by anyone please?

I had the same issue and fixed it by going into the Go (hold option)>Library>Preferences and moving everything inside it to a folder on the desktop. Then restart the comp. This will fix the buttons issue with FCPX.

thank you for the tip, I moved the following plist.lockfile too as well as all the ones I had tried last time. This worked perfectly.
