Im running a 2010 Mac Pro, and I have 3 sets of speakers, and i've switched between them and the audio will cut out every now and again when im gaming on steam, or listening to music, or in a skype call with multiple people.

I tried this a few times, but to no avail. Whenever i hold the buttons it just goes through the normal start up. Nothing restarts. I am using an Alienware Keyboard (which I know is weird with a Mac Tower) but it's what I have, but could this be something that's disrupting the reset process?
Nope, didn't help. Tried all that - Could the battery need replacing or would it be more of a software problem? I need this working immediately because recording is my job.
