iWork 09 dvd to usb flash stick?

Hi Apple nation,

I am the proud owner of a new Mac mini which I completely love. I have my copy of iWork 09 DVD that I purchased for my Macbook Pro a few years ago. How do I install this software on my mini? I was told I could put it on a flash drive and load it that way. Can anyone share with me on how exactly to do that? I am relatively new to Apple computers. I suppose I would need some type of app to create the iso file and then copy that onto the flash drive of 4GB capacity.
