Q: Forgotten iPad 2 passcode

Thanks rayzient, it can only go to 6.1.3 as it's obviously too old for further upgrades, that's the highest upgrade it can do. Not sure what you mean by the iCloud .... it won't let me do anything without the passcode

Yes, I thought I was ticking the star to 'undo' it, not activating it, my problem is not solved. I have followed all of those instructions meticulously.

It says I am up to date with my upgrade. When I follow all of these instructions it still restarts with a requirement for a passcode. I have tried 3 different computers now and even updated from an older backup - no difference!
