noticed that some of my files have the wrong dates of when they were created i.e Friday, 26 March @027 15:21. I know that it was created this year, but I do not know how to edit it on the info pane. Can anyone help.

Thanks for that but the date/time problem is with files not the system preferences. I converted video and when I looked at the info pane noticed that the date created was 10 to 15 years in future. Do not know why and can not ammend.
Check the system clock and time zone setting in the Date & Time preference pane.
