how do i connect apple tv to bose lifestyle 28 using vs-2 video

I have a bose lifestyle system with a VS2-video enhancer which connects the bose to the TV.

i have plugged the Apple TV HDMI into one of the spare HDMI slots in the VS2 but cant get anything t show on the tv screen

Connect the appletv directly,to the tv is the only way to be sure it works

I cant do that as the sound for the TV is piped through the Bose. I would have picture but no sound.
