I use my ipod touch as a remote to play music from 2 computers that I have, without a problem. Just bought a laptop running windows 8, and although the ipod recognises the laptop, it wont connect to it's itunes library. Yes, sharing is on and I've done the usual, ie. restarts and re-downloading itunes. Appreciate any advice.
