remove a ring tone or sound from ipad

I downloaded a sound from iTunes, as it got ready to install it asked if I wished to install as a default ringtone or assign, i wanted neither, and cancelled, it installed (somewhere) but did not show in my ringtones/sounds. I went back to iTunes, the sound was sitting in upper right corner of store as is on top, curios I clicked on it again, and it said do you want to download this sound again? I thinking this a intermittent bug clicked yes, it downloads, this time I choose default sound. This time when checking sound I have 2 copies in the list of the same sound. How do I get rid of extra copy?

iPad, iOS 7.0.2

Hello VancelnK,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

For more information on this, take a look at:

How to delete content you've downloaded from the iTunes Store, App Store, iBooks Store, or Mac App Store

Music

Open the section below for the device you are using.

iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Before you delete, find out if you'll be able to download the song you deleted again (it depends on where you live). To delete a song:

  1. Tap the Music app.
  2. Tap the Songs category.
  3. Swipe left to right over the song you want to delete.
  4. Tap Delete.

Best of luck,

Mario
