Q: apple tv won´t play purchased movies

I've read through every response on just about every available resource there is on the subject of apple tv won´t play purchased movies. I've tried them all to no avail– until now.

Hide and unhide purchases in the iTunes Store - Apple Support

On your Mac or Pc (Won't work on device(s)):

1) Open iTunes: Store / View Account (Enter Apple ID)

2) Scroll down to: iTunes in the Cloud / Hidden Purchases / Manage

3) Click: Unhide / Free yourself from bondage / You're welcome.

ok, although this may make sense, why should that matter if WE ALREADY PAID FOR THE MOVIE! So if we cancel the card we used to purchase the movies, then we can never ever play them again, even though they are paid for? that's BS
