cover for radio stream in itunes - how?

Is this just another senseless Apple limitation for no aparent reason or is there reasoning behind this?

I have several readiostreams in my music section that lack a proper cover. I see I cannot add correct artwork for streams. This is very annoying and I don't see why I shouldn't be able to do so.
