Q: I'd like to transfer all my itunes and apps from my laptop to a new ipad

A recent move of countries lead to me nearly loosing my itunes and apps.  I have now managed to get them back - most of them, but only to my laptop.  I cannot find any instructions that enable me to download from my lap top to my current (and a new) ipad. All instructions seem to be geared towards to transfer the other direction - ie, ipad to laptop.

any help appreciated,

thanks,

Connie

A straightforward sync using iTunes on the computer and the iPad should place the data on your iPad.  That is actually the more common direction to move data.

Hopefully you have no issues with Apple ID, etc.

The solution is simple enough. Follow these steps:

    Step 1

Find a USB Cable or your iPad's charger (you only need the cord)

    Step 2

Take your USB/Charger and plug it in to your iPad, then plug the other side to the outlet in your computer with a charger sign (3 arrows and a line at different heights). Your iPad will show, " Trust this computer? " Click Trust. Your laptop should be connected now. On your laptop, go to Finder > All my files, then click "This Mac". Then search "iTunes". iTunes should show up. Either select it then click command + O or double click it.

    Step 3

Find all the files you want to transfer, then transfer it.
