Hopefully you have no issues with Apple ID, etc.

Step 1
Find a USB Cable or your iPad's charger (you only need the cord)
Step 2
Take your USB/Charger and plug it in to your iPad, then plug the other side to the outlet in your computer with a charger sign (3 arrows and a line at different heights). Your iPad will show, " Trust this computer? " Click Trust. Your laptop should be connected now. On your laptop, go to Finder > All my files, then click "This Mac". Then search "iTunes". iTunes should show up. Either select it then click command + O or double click it.
Step 3
Find all the files you want to transfer, then transfer it.
