How can I get all of my my music back after exchanging iphones?

Today I went to the Apple store to get a new iphone 5 because my lock button was broken. I had trouble in the past syncing stuff to the icloud because my email for my apple ID I had was inactive. Today at the store, an employee switched email addresses for my icloud address/ apple id and claimed to have backed it up. He then wiped clesn my old phione and gave me a new one. My contacts synced beut I do not see my music or anything! I signed into my apple ID onb both my phone/ laptop and there is nothing there. What can I do??????? 😟
