Last iCloud backup=22 weeks ago.

I need help. I have not been able to back my iPhone up in 22 weeks. A little box popped up on my iPhone saying that my backup was too full to complete and that I had to delete some data from my phone before the next backup could happen. Well I did. I went into my iCloud settings, into Storage and Backup, into Manage storage, and then into all the apps on my phone. I took all but 3 or 4 off from being backed up to iCloud---BUT the iPhone wouldnt register that I took all of the Apps off. It is still saying that my back up is too big. I have tried everything to fix it but nothing will work. Any help?

Thanks.

Hello, not.a.techie.

The most common cause for the unable to backup alert due to exceeding the free 5GB storage allotment is photos and videos taken with the device. I would recommend importing there to your computer and deleting them from the device. You do have the option to sync them back to your iPhone through iTunes once imported. Here are the steps on how to import and after completing a backup syncing via iTunes.

You have the option to purchase more storage if needed. However, if that is not a desired option, here are some helpful steps to troubleshoot this issue.

I can't back up because there's not enough storage available.

If your iCloud storage reaches its maximum capacity, you can take any of the following actions:
