Oct 24, 2013 12:56 AM in response to turls99by antipa,I updated iOS to 7.0.3 and Pages as well, rebooted iPad several times, deleted and reinstalled Pages, tried accesing through iCloud and other apple devices.. but nothing helps. There is still this one particular document (of course the most important one) that "can't be opened". Other documents work just fine.

Oct 24, 2013 2:55 AM in response to antipaby turls99,I was contacted by Apple Support about this issue but unfortunately they needed me to email the document and since I couldn't open it or do anything else I couldn't email it. So the document still can not be opened. It is obviously a problem that a lot of people are having and needs to be fixed. I really hope that I can eventually open the file because I really don't want to rewrite it. But not holding my breath.

Oct 24, 2013 3:14 AM in response to turls99by Sandro Franchi,After upgrading to 7.0.3 on my iPad I can open the pages documents and edit them, but now, after installing Mavericks I can't open these documents with Pages 4, it says now that requieres Pages 5 and there is no t upgrade for it in the AppStore, just a "$17.99" button to purchase the app, it's a joke Apple?

Oct 24, 2013 3:16 AM in response to Gene--by Sandro Franchi,Gene, it works in the iPad but the Pages 4 version in my Mac is unable to open the files, it says that requires a new version (Pages 5) but it doesn't appears as an upgrade, rather as a new purchase with a $17.99 tag price, is this a joke?

Oct 25, 2013 2:59 PM in response to Sandro Franchiby Sandro Franchi,Now it works fine in my iPad with IOS 7.0.3 but in my Mac (Mavericks) with Pages 4, Pages can't open the "updated" document format because is "too new". I've checked and the upgrade costs 19.99 and don't allows me to free upgrade my Pages 4 version, so this is just ridiculous. Anyone with the same problem? I'll not pay a cent again for this, instead I'll like my money back both for my Mac and iPad Pages versions.

Oct 26, 2013 6:57 AM in response to Steel Victoryby Sandro Franchi,Hi Steel Victory, and what about to edit the same document edited in IOS 7.0.3 in your Mac? Does it works with Pages 4 or you have to upgrade (paying) to Pages 5?

Oct 26, 2013 7:15 AM in response to Sandro Franchiby Steel Victory,No, I don't use Pages on my Mac. I couldn't open the files after I upgraded Pages on the iPad, but that is now resolved with the iOS system update.

Nov 6, 2013 8:24 AM in response to turls99by ksmith610,I'm still running iOS six on my iPad and iPhone. I don't want to upgrade to iOS 7. Now numbers and pages will not open and I cannot see my documents. The pop-up tells me I can upgrade to latest version, but the least version only runs in iOS 7. Apple you screwed us and screwed up. What am I supposed to do?

Nov 9, 2013 7:34 AM in response to turls99by classicalgirl,Well, here we are on November 9 and I just ran into this major issue. I am on deadline to submit articles and the documents I am working on will not open. I had upgraded my Mac to Maverick, thinking all would be well. I didn't realize that as I was working on a Pages document, it was being upgraded to the newest version, which I now cannot open. I am getting a message that I have to buy the upgrade to Pages.
Given that this was never explained with the system upgrade, I do not have confidence it will fix my problem.
Anyone have any suggestions? Apple help!!!

Nov 9, 2013 7:39 AM in response to classicalgirlby Sandro Franchi,Exactly same here @classicalgirl, Why have now to compulsively upgrade to Pages 5 and to pay for it? Now I'm frozen here with my Pages 4 version in my Mac and the "new" version of Pages in my iPad being incompatible between them...
Apple guys, upgrading Pages 4 to Pages 5 MUST be for free, if not let me know how to downgrade my iPad version of Pages, or give my money back for both Pages for Mac and iPad, they're useless now and that's your fault, not mine nor a "licensing" issue from my part.
