I put my ipad in lock mode and can't unlock it. how do you unlock an ipad?
You should know the passcode because you enable the Lost Mode and put in the passcode.
If you can't remember the passcode, you have to restore the iPad.
Also, I know my ID and passcode. The "slide to unlock" button on the ipad won't slide. Does it lock down too? The screen is cracked as a result in loosing it in the first place. However, it appeares to work. Is the slide suspposed to work when the ipad is locked?
If the iPad is on IOS 7, you will not be able to restore without the Apple ID and Password.
