How do I duplicate sheets within a Numbers file on iCloud?

Open a new Sheet, as you have reported on, and delete the default table. Back at the original sheet, Command-A to select all the objects in the sheet and Command-C to put them on the Clipboard. Switch to the new sheet and Command-V. You now have a duplicate.

So, how does one "delete the default table" ?

For Numbers 3.1 I believe you would select a cell in the new sheet and then choose Menu > Edit > Select Parent. Then Edit > Delete. That should remove what I would consider the "default" table. Not sure if it's the same with earlier Numbers versions.

Click on the table to activate it, click on the circle in the upper left corner to select the entire table and hit Delete.

You can also duplicate tabs in the iOS version of Numbers (single-tap the tab, then hit "Duplicate"), but that functionality doesn't seem to have carried over to the Beta web version yet.

I find it much easier, especially if the worksheet has several tabs, to just hit the share button. Then just share to the numbers folder where the original file exists. Share will then prompt you that a worksheet with the same name exists and allow you to rename it.

After creating a new sheet with a default table but before pasting the data, press Command-A and hit Delete. You now have a completely blank sheet. Now press Command-V to paste the new table.

Alternatively, after pasting the new table it will be at the front. Select (say) cell A1, and then click on the Table Select icon (nine dots at the top-left). At this point you have the new table selected. Then click on the Arrange tab and click on Back to send the new table behind the default table. Now reselect cell A1 and then the Table Select icon again. Now you have the default table selected and can press Delete.

Right-click on the icon of the desired work sheet on the left and choose "Duplicate".

No. That's in OS X, not within the iCloud portal, as specified in the original post and clarified by the rest of the thread.

Duplicate a spreadsheet

1. In the spreadsheet manager, select one or more spreadsheets.

   • On a Mac: Shift-click to select multiple adjacent spreadsheets, or Command-click to select multiple nonadjacent spreadsheets.

2. Choose Duplicate Spreadsheet from the Settings pop-up menu in the toolbar. The word copy is appended to the duplicated spreadsheet’s name.

• Create your new sheet and when you are happy with it click on the arrow in the sheet title and click the 'Copy sheet' option.
• Click the + button in order to create a new sheet - it will be called 'Sheet 2'.
• Click on the title of 'Sheet 2' and then on the arrow and click the 'Paste Sheet' option.
