iPhone 5s WiFi Issues?

Hello, I am aware people with the iPhone 5 have experienced this however I can't currently find anyone else experiencing this with an iPhone 5s. What happens is the device will connect to the WiFi and it will all be working fine however about after a minute the device will stop receiving data, even though it still says it's connected to the WiFi. However this doesn't happen using 3G or LTE, any ideas? Thanks in advance.

@danthick, if you're having issues with cellular then you're having hardware issues. The common thread here seems to be an upgrade or an overlap of the same network host name with a now-different MAC address.

After upgrading, my home WiFi is the problem, but the WiFi at work is functioning normally. This is what makes me think there is something to do with a device that is using the same network host name but now is attached to a different device. Can anyone else confirm this?

I have been into my router and have cleared the DHCP reservation for my old phone/MAC address, cleared any existing leases to the old hardware (and all other "i" devices), and rebooted my gateway a few times.

Here's my post (4 above this one):

I should note that I haven't tried to do any major downloading at work - e.g. I was having trouble downloading large apps such as Pages and Numbers, but I haven't tried downloading any 100MB+ apps at work just yet.

One test might be to try to eliminate the variable of the access point.

My first question is this: do you have a modem + router configuration, or a single device acting as modem and router? If you have separate devices for both, do you know which devices handles DHCP (the assigning of dynamic IP addresses)?

If you have an extra or old router handy, you could try temporarily setting it up, and letting your phone connect that way. One thing to note would be to make sure this new access point uses a different WiFi network name, so that your phone doesn't try to use any of the existing settings - we want this to be a brand new "handshake."

If you don't have an extra router available - you might as a friend to connect to their WiFi for a moment. If that's not an option, you could always purchase an AirPort or well-rated wireless access point with which to test. There are plenty of good stores with good return policies, heh.

Apologies - yes if all is working well at a friend's house then the issue might be wrong with your router - or it could be wrong with the way things are set up.

If all goes well at a friend's, the next step would be to "Reset All Network Settings" on your phone, and restore your router back to factory defaults at the same time. That would tell us if it was a settings issue - either in the network hardware or iPhone.
