I cant delete my facebook account on the new IOS.

I'm getting annoyed now,I've spent ages trying all what other people have came up with and none are working I have just reset my ipad about 10mins ago and it's not done **** all apple,fix THIS it's getting really annoying

Ok I'm not sure if there is some confusion here or not. The Facebook App you can download and install isn't the same as the Facebook section that appears in Settings>Facebook.

Basically if you enter a User Name & Password under Settings>Facebook this will allow you to use Siri for example to make a post to facebook, to really interact with Facebook you would have to download and install the App for all the features.

If you have uninstalled the App and then re-install it, it should ask you to enter the User Name & Password so you can then use the app with the required account.

I didn't have my Facebook details in but I've entered them, then deleted them then entered the same account again with the wrong password, was told it was incorrect. I then tapped the Twitter section above Facebook on the left hand side of settings and tapped in to Facebook again, the email address I'd entered was there so deleted this, repeated the tapping in to Twitter then back in to Facebook and then had a blank user name and password field, so I don't think I've managed to replicate this issue.

I presume from what you say is the username field already filled in?

I have the same issue. My account name is incorrect and there is no option to change it. My password doesn't match my account as it is indeed different. The 'delete account' button doesn't work. I have pressed it many times but nothing happens. I'm stuck without the use of Facebook throughout my iPad. Very annoying. Any help Ian appreciated.

I have tried the changing to the twitter account and back but it doesn't bring back the option to change the account name.

I am suddenly having the same problem today. I have restarted my ipad, deleted the facebook app and I have the same cannot connect to server issue. I am trying to delete the account from my settings and I can't.

Have you deactivated the Facebook account in Facebook?

I used to get the same problem with Password. Now I am not getting this problem. For another reason I reset my iPad mini to factory settings. After that I never faced this issue. May be this issue is with Keychain.

Hi Lizdance40, I have changed my email address and therefore my login account name in Facebook. On the iPad I have logged in with these new credentials, no problem that all works fine. I have been palying a game that uses the facebook credentials from the settings on the iPad. The game couldn't connect to facebook so I ahve been trying all sorts to make it work:

- I have deleted the Facebook app from the iPad by holding the home button and clicking the cross. Then I installed it again using the button in the settings logged in and the app works fine still but the credentials under the setting still do not work.

- The delete button under settings doesn't work

- Under settings there is no option to change the account details apart from filling in the password which doesn't match the account name.

Any suggestions are welcome but I don't want to loose my Facebook account.

Disconnect the game app from Facebook. Then connect to Facebook. This not the problem with Facebook. Game app is still using your old facebook credentials.

Hi rpappu, I understand it is not an issue with Facebook. I have already deleted the whole app fromt he iPad and reinstalled and re-logged-in. How do you mean disconnect the game app from Facebook?

I did all that and still can't clear up the issue.

Check for settings in game app. Disconnect or logout from Facebook within that app.

Hi rpappu, Th app can't connect to Facebook so I can't login or out. I can't play the game at all as it requires connection to Facebook. I can't unauthorise the game app from the settings because I can't login there either. I may have to refer back to default settings. That's such a waste of time to get it all to work the way I set it up though. 😟

How you connected to Facebook from that app.
