Question: Once uploaded - Free?

Question:

Once songs are uploaded to iCloud... Are they available for listening without incurring data usage; in other words are you able to listen without wi-fi/other internet access at no charge/usage ? I assume this would not include (live) radio streaming... but perhaps recorded sessions?

I am very interested in this information. I cannot really afford the cost but am considering splurging as I am missing my music SO much! However I do NOT have unlimited data and would be no better off ( actually out $25) if the downloaded music etc still required/used internet connection.

Thanks in advance for any and all information/advice!

Welcome to the Apple Community.

If you choose to use iTunes Match you can choose to have the content stored locally as well as in the cloud, so you don't need to download if you don't want. On devices where you have plenty of space you might have all your content and not need to download anything at all, on devices with less room, you might just have your favourite music but be able to download the other if you wish.
