Q: Macintosh IIsi Sound Woes

All,

I did a civic duty recently to salvage several Classic Macs from a neighbor who had a mass grave of Apple hardware ready for the trash pickup.

That Mac is a IIsi. Before I got a DB-15-to-VGA connector, I powered it on to see if it could do a POST, and I got a startup chime.

I did a silly thing like opening the case without knowing how to open the specfic model of interest (I had some trouble, but the case is still fine) While opening the case, with the fear I might had disrupted something, also I took out what as video NuBus card to check it out and put it back in.

Since that disruption, the sound isn't working. Even a PRAM zap doesn't even respond. Everything else is fine. Tried numerous times in the Control Panel to no avail.

Was it just coincidental the timing of  known issue of the intergrated sound happen to fail?

TIA,

Steven
