Q: iPad won't connect to wireless keyboard??

Hi guys I just bought an apple wireless keyboard and I'm trying to connect to my iPad 3d generation and the iPad sees the keyboard but won't pair??

iPad 2, iOS 6.1.3

I bought the Mac wireless keyboard (new) at Best Buy. They said it would work with the iPad, but the iPad is not referenced in the instructions at all.

It should pair with the iPad. However, I do not connect a KB to my iPad.

If you are near one, I suggest you take everything to a Apple store for assistance.
