Q: i have an HP 8500 all-in-one printer and got new macbook pro with os x 10.8.5 - now disc for printer is obsolete.  What to do????

If you are talking about an HP Color LaserJet 8500, Apple has printer software available for that printer so you will not need your setup disks.

Besides, using a CD to setup a printer is the Windows way.

Your Mac either already has, or knows where to get, software for your printer, so just add it in Print & Scan prefs - that's the Mac way.

I'm sorry to hear you are having problems setting up your printer since you upgraded to Mountain Lion.

I have included a link on how to download and install the software and drivers from the HP Website.

That will allow you to have the full feature software and drivers.
