Besides, using a CD to setup a printer is the Windows way.
Your Mac either already has, or knows where to get, software for your printer, so just add it in Print & Scan prefs - that's the Mac way.

I'm sorry to hear you are having problems setting up your printer since you upgraded to Mountain Lion.
I have included a link on how to download and install the software and drivers from the HP Website.
That will allow you to have the full feature software and drivers.
