*URGENT* How can i get a website to load instead of saying "Can't connect to the server"

My computer is not loading a website. This is urgent for university work!! My computer keeps saying: "Can't connect to the server" no matter what internet browser i use, and other people with Mac's can use it fine! I need it for university work. PLEASE HELP ME!!

MacBook Pro, iOS 7.0.2, Safari, Firefox, Chrome

Power off the router. Unplug it from the wall. Wait few minutes.

Plug it back in. Power on the router.

Wait until all the lights are lit properly. It will take a while.

Restart the computer.



Start up in Safe Mode.

Deselect Proxies if selected.

Safari > Preferences > Advanced > Proxies:

Click "Change Settings" button

The network preferences window for Proxies will will show up with "Proxies"

tab selected.

Under "Select Protocol", uncheck any box if selected.


Click "OK", then "Apply"

I can't unplug any routers as i'm in uni, and no proxies are selected, I have tried looking at every setting on my friends mac, but everything is the same, and i can't understand why its not working..... Again it's very urgent! the website i go to to get access is http://www.regents-tc.ac.uk/ and i click on student resources, and then 'Student Portal' and it goes to this adress: http://studentportal.regents-tc.ac.uk/
