Q: Do I have to have billing info to download free apps?

I can't get free apps from the store with my id it takes me to billing information every time. Everyone tells me they never had to enter that stuff in they can just get free apps. So is there a way to skip that part?

iPhone 5, iOS 7.0.2

You should be able to chance the paypment options to "none". I hope this guide to create an Apple ID/iTunes Tore account without a credit card will help you: https://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534
