Just set up my mac mini after not using it for over a year and I acnnot remember my login password. For some reason Command R isnt working and I am at a loss. I don't have any startup disks (I bought the mini from my brother in law). Any help? My apple ID isn't working either....

Its the desktop MAC (mini). and its on v10.5.8
Nothing happens when I try to reboot
So I just read the article in the link you gave me and it worked (the seocnd way listed). Thank you so much! I have another issue tho...now that my old desktop is up and running how do I get my microsoft office stuff over to my kids desktop so she can use it? Obviously Im not very computer savvy (but I can follow instructions!)
