Since iOS 7 update - cannot change my email notification sound. Originally set to Tweet, however even if I change the sound notification in settings to any other sound or off, the next time I check emails the Tweet sounds returns. Any help?
On the sounds & heptics menu, there used to be an option in sounds & vibration patterns, for Twitter. This has now disappeared & there isn't an option to add your own sound effect. If we don't have the option, surely the default sound should be tweet. Can we have it restored, please???
Are your settings the same in Settings > Sounds, as well as in Notification Center?

I'm having this problem too and I can't seem to fix it. On my iPhone, under Settings > Sounds I have the Tweet option set to a custom sound that I want. Then under Settings > Notification Center I made sure I have the sound option turned on for Twitter. However, any time I get a notification from Twitter I don't get my customized sound option. I've tried changing the settings again, rebooting, going back to what I wanted, and rebooting again, but nothing seems to stick, it's always the general notification sound and vibration (which I also turned off, but it keeps vibrating). Does anyone have a solution to this? Or am I misunderstanding what these settings do?

iPhone 5, ios7.03 and I fancied changing my alert tones for Twitter, guess what, they wont change.
Sure you can select what everer tone you like but the tone will not change, same old tone that I selected originaly months ago. Hard reset, soft reset, delete Twitter and reinstall....... Same old tone.

Basically it's Apple not allowing the change, so you're stuck with the boring old classic tri-tone. Amazes me that Apple wants to be boring...

It's not Apple's fault, Twitter can use a different sound, they just don't let you. Apple could, and should, allow setting of different sounds via the notification center, but this would be an "extra".
You can change the twitter alert. Go to sound and change the Tweet sound. The reason why you can change the sound for email in the Notification Center is so that you can have different sounds for different email addresses. Pretty nifty if you ask me.
