My iPhone 3Gs is stuck in Recovery Mode. My phone has never been jailbroken. What can I do to get it out of the Recovery Mode loop?

My iPhone 3Gs went into Recovery Mode yesterday when I got home. When I plug it into my computer iTunes opens and gives me this message "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. You must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes." I click the "Restore iPhone" button and wait while iTunes reinstalls the software on the iPhone. As soon as the install is done, I get the same message again "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. You must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes." I'm stuck in a Recovery Mode loop. How do I get out?

This iPhone has never been jailbroken. After a litte research on line I saw some people got stuck in Recovery Mode after a jailbreak, but this is not the case here. Please help.

iPhone 3GS, iOS 6.1.3

I had the same problem a few weeks ago and I tried everything & nothing worked. My iPhone 3Gs wouldn't charge & it wouldn't go past the apple logo. I unplugged it from the charger and just left it alone until it died completely. The next morning I didn't touch it, (try to turn it on) I plugged it into an outlet I rarely use & let it charge while I took a nap. When I woke up, I was afraid to touch it but I did. I pressed the home button & there it was. Notifications galore...! I was very happy but NOW my phone tells my I have 0 bytes left even after I've deleted tons of text messages & photos. Facebook crashes often & so does a few other apps. I guess this is apple's way of telling me that i need to upgrade soon. 😕 lol

Since your iPhone stuck in recovery mode, connect it to your computer and open iTunes. Then hold the Home button while you connect the USB cable. iTunes should detect the device is in recovery mode and offer to restore it from a backup. All personal data, apps and settings will be removed from your iPhone or iPad and it will be restored to the most recent backup, so some data might be lost if you haven't backed up for a while.
