OS X 10.6.8 to OS X lion ?

can i upgrade a macbook 3.1 Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2 GHz with 2GB RAM currently running OS X 10.6.8 snow leopard to OS X lion ?


it appears that mountain lion is not an option but perhaps lion is viable ?


if so will this allow access to icloud and for address book to sync ?

Yes, Lion is an option. As long as you have enough disk space free on your boot volume. Lion includes iCloud access via the preference pane. To order Lion, you will need to call Apple (see number at the bottom of the page), and order it. They will email you a redeption code to download Lion via the App Store.
