Yahoo Sports freezing on Safari?

Hi, I have a late 2010 MBA. It performs pretty admirably in most cases, but Yahoo Sports doesn't work very well. Whenever I click a link, it freezes and I get the spinning blue beach ball. I understand that this indicates that Java is doing something, but it sticks like this until I hit refresh, at which point the requested page loads just fine. Anyone else having this issue?

MacBook Air, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)

With Safari open press Command , (comma) on your keyboard to open Safari preferences then select the Security tab.

Make sure: Allow all other plug-ins is selected as well as Allow Java\

If your settings are correct and that didn't help, try troubleshooting extensions and third party plugins.

From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test. If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.

If it's not an extensions issue, try troubleshooting third party plug-ins.

Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the Security tab. Deselect: Allow all other plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

If that made a difference, instructions for troubleshooting plugins here
